Hi, I still say that if you use that external pullop with your MCLR you should use the diode as well - same as in the "In Circuit Serial Programming" manual: http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/31028a.pdf It's on the 3rd page... it's for the mid-range family so don't look at other pins just the MCLR :-) Also what I would try: - 100k resistor change to 33k or 22k - put a 100nF decoupler in between Vdd and Vss close to the chip It should work for sure, I'm using 10F202 with PicKit2 - virtually I have no any problem on programming it, touching wood.
