I personally like a little program called Graphics Gale which is make by someone in Hong Kong and sells for less than $20. It has got to be the quickest, most capable graphics editor ever. The guy really thought about how to allow the user to change the function of the tool quickly and without constantly going back to the menus or pallets. For Linux, I believe Image Magic will do what you need, but I don't have a lot of experience with it. And it isn't spelled Magic... Let me see: Ahh. It's http://www.imagemagick.org As google knows. Just to be sure I understand, are you trying to change the font size on the fly in your target device?
