There is a module that might be of interest. I have also looked for a way to support audio. While .WAV files are easier to deal with, their size just eats up memory. I have found the VINICULUM VMUSIC2 (you can find them on the internet and I think one of the large catalog houses (Newark or Mouser) carries them) which has a USB port on it.... they ain't cheap but it is a pretty clean solution. My audio requirements are near CD-quality. I hope we hear other thoughts from PIC listers as I am interested in this topic myself. Subject: [PIC] MP3-Encoder ( on 16F628A ) Dear readers, is there a solution available as a circuitry(containing pic or not) that deals with encoding audio signals to mp3 on a hardware basis ? Currently I want this: 2 microphones -> Circuitry -> USB-Stick so the circuitry is to save mp3 files on the stick which contain the converted analogue signals from both mic.s Regards TK -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
