For a standalone scope, I'd agree. This is an area where used is a much better idea, a $400 used 100MHz scope will be MUCH better then a $400 new scope, if you were even able to find one. I have an old (late 70s era) HP scope, 100MHz, 2 channel, delay features, selective zoom, all kinds of cool features. Bought it for $300 used from "some guy" who advertised it on a local newsgroup.
