It's not a beginners' tool (but then disk recovery shouldn't be attempted by beginners! :-) but if you pay for it you can send the log files it generates 
to the author and he will send back advice (and often scripts to run) to solve the problem.  It's not expensive and it's worth much more than it costs 
- saved my life a number of times!  :-)
