Nice....I didnt know that Lantronix had any competition in that area of the integrated serial to ethernet jacks. Might use that as leverage to get the price down from the $40 they want for it. Wonder what Digi wants for thiers...? "M. Adam Davis" wrote: On 3/13/07, alan smith wrote: > Is Rabbit part of Digi? Rabbit is a subsidiary of Digi International since Spring of 2005, and Maxstream is a subsidiary of Digi since sometime this last year (summer?). Right now it feels like working in a smaller company (300 employees) with some of the benefits and not-so-benefits of working for a larger company (700 employees). I enjoy it. So far we're a separate subsidiary, and we're only sharing a small amount of stuff (HR, accounting, etc) but we still maintain our own operations (manufacturing, parts, etc), HW/SW engineering, etc. NetSilicon, who they purchased many years ago, is no longer a subsidiary of Digi, but a brand of Digi. Their operations and such have been completely integrated. For those that don't know, NetSilicon makes their own ARM based processor, and the cute little serial<-->ethernet jacks: http://www.digi.com/products/embeddedsolutions/digiconnectme.jsp and the even neater serial<-->WiFi 'jacks': http://www.digi.com/products/embeddedsolutions/digiconnectwime.jsp Neat stuff. Digi has purchased many other companies over the years, though these are the ones I'm most familiar with. -Adam - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Moving in southeast Michigan?
