Hi all this is two subjects rolled in to one: * E~LAB~UK "Caveat emptor" * Help with configuration of N100PT (ZNE-100PT) I am interested to work projects remotely and last week I came across a Ethernet to Serial port with 5 GPIO's listed on E-Bay as "ComServer Serial Port (TTL) to Ethernet module N100PT" the seller "E~LAB~UK" listed this as new and gave loads of information and listed ZcomNet as a suitable configurator for it. The seller listed as dispatching goods from Bristol UK, hence my surprise when within hours of making payment I received an email in pigeon English to say the goods were being dispatched by DHL. As I only live 60 miles from Bristol it could have been sent first class post for only a few pennies. The N100PT arrived Monday and actually came from China, the customs declaration was "Samples, value $10 USD" so luckily I did not have to pay any duty, unfortunately there was no technical information with it and the on information I can fin is all in Chinese and the configurator ZcomNet downloaded of the internet is also in Chinese. I of course wrote to the seller and as yet had no reply, it looks a neat device and I would like to get it working rather than send it back and even if I do so there is no guarantee that I will get my money back so would appreciate any help. It is supposed to be by default on IP address 192.168.0.178 but my LAN controlled buy my router is 192.168.1.0-255, accessible by HTTP but IE can not fond it, pinging it dose not work either. The reason for "Caveat emptor" is that E~LAB~"NOT"~UK dose have many items which may be of interest to you guys so just be careful, I would recommend you check to see that any technical info you require is on the internet in a language you understand and it is DHL that come knocking not the custom chaps.
