Dick Smith were the leading retailer for components for many years (others came and went) but have moved into consumer goods. The parts section gets smaller and smaller every month. The list of Discontinued Items in the newsletter is depressing. Luckily Jaycar Electronics is waving the flag in this part of the world. I did go into DSE the other night, and the staff commented that they hadn't seen me for a while ; I told them why. They said they no longer receive any sort of electronic training because of the paucity of components on sale. I left with my 2 tubs of cheap blank CDs, which is about all DSE has that interests me now ;-( -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
