Both "port" (BSD ports) and "fink" theoretically do the same sort of dependancy chasing, but neither seems to know about gtkextra2. I'm a little worried, not knowing exactly how versioning works on the mac, that by going and installing newer versions of stuff that's already there, I'll break something I need. Sigh.
