However, Scott Dattalo once mentioned that it is possible to use GCC as the back end for the 18F device. He chose to use SDCC at that time though. It will be not easy and SDCC is improving quite fast so maybe it is a better idea to improve SDCC instead of porting GCC to PIC18F even though it is technically possible.
