I bet that a few people will want to run it at 3.3V, but the vast majority would be happy with 5V. Sometimes you need to look at the cost/benefit ratio; just because you'll get a handful of requests doesn't necessarily mean you'll get additional sales that justify the expense (if there is one - I haven't read the thread in detail).
