But I think to see the image one needs the sum of many photons. As I understand it a photon is completely described by its quantum numbers which may be probabalistic until the photon is observed. I do not think a single photon has enough quantum numbers ( or bits if you like ) to resolve even a very fuzzy image. Just my opinion.
