The only limits are things like powerpoints need to be a certain distance from the water or located where you can't spray water on it (like with a hand-held nozzle). Exhaust fans can't be directly above the shower and so on. So putting a socket in the shower tends to be frowned upon, but I have seen a photo of it being done!
