My ICD2 is a clone and is only serial, but I can get a "real" ICD2 if it solves the problem. The target apps will be self-powered, but wouldn't this conflict with the Vdd power/control from the programmer? IIRC, there was something about the 16F819 and some other newer PIC's (possibly the 16F628A) requiring Vpp to come on before Vdd, so target power would be a problem. Cheers, -Neil.
