Ah, you're talking about Foil Printing! That's how it's done, with something like toner being printed first, then a thin metal foil "stuck" onto that by re-melting. But the foil is very thin (has to break away at the edges of the print areas pretty-much on its own) so I'm not sure how good a circuit you could get. And joining components onto it would be very hard without the foil coming unstuck and/or breaking.
