Peter, Thanks for your answer. The main problem here is, that banana plugs always the receptacle is nothing but a piece of tube with no spring inside and the plug has the spring. Now we need the exact opposite: plug has NO spring, receptacle must have spring. I even checked Multicontact, a high quality manufacturer and they have brillant receptacles but not the needed diameter. Any more thoughts? Thanks for your help. This is like the standard banana plug but smaller. Try this page for some examples: http://www.oselectronics.com/ose_p111.htm Standard banana plugs are 4mm but you can use the springs used on 4mm plugs to fit a 3.2mm plug into a 4mm receptacle. The springs are hard to buy in small qty. You may have to buy standard plugs and 'transplant' the springs. This is tricky. 2. This search yields some results: http://www.google.com/search?hl=3Den&lr=3D&q=3D%221%2F8%22+inch+female+rece= ptacle& btnG=3DSearch There are several connectors whose 'female' parts take 3.2mm pins. Find the right one. F.ex. I think that one of them is the one used on PC power supplies for hard disk power. 3. Use a 4mm ferrule that can be crimped on a 3.2mm pin, and a banana plug receptacle (this sounds gross - the words). 4. Use a 3.5mm mini-PL (headphone/mic) receptacle, using only the ground pins to connect. hope this helps, Peter P. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist -- = http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
