If you have time to spare (!) and like reading you may be interested in becoming a Project Gutenberg "distributed proofreader". [ PG DP]. PG takes public domain books, scans them and converts them to text format then publishes the resulting electronically readable book as a free resource for all. A critical step is proofreading the material after conversion to electronic form. The DP scheme splits each book up into individual pages and allows many people to proof-read a single book at the same time. No commitment to time required. A page a day is suggested but you can do as much or as little as you wish. You choose which books you wish to work on. http://www.pgdp.net/c/ -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
