I'm sorry I haven't been following this thread. But a pretty simple and reliable (I think) method of detecting a phase loss on a 3 phase wye connection is to just have three resistors from the three phases to a common. Measure the voltage between neutral and common. It is ideally zero. Loss of a phase will make it substantially away from zero.
