Just so that others can short-cut to this reference....

I was trying to find a (relatively) comprehensive reference for the 
different package layouts used for IC's.

Eventually found this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Chip_carriers

Although I knew that Wikipedia had some references to various packages, 
I did not realise that they had all been categorized together in one 
place too.
