I have had a good response to the "5 pack" stocking stuffer sale of  
the K107 Serial LCD Controller boards and kits. I have decided to  
extend the sale until New Years day.

We are working on a new board that will be offered in addition to the  
K107 ... the K107R ... the "R" stands for "ribbon" it will  
essentially be the same board without the 1x16 and 2x7 sets of holes  
and fitted, instead with a surface mount  1mm pitch FFC/FPC connector  
for the 16 pin stiff ribbon cable connector common to many displays.  
The board will be available as a bare board and the board and parts  
kits will be available with the surface mount connector already  
soldered on for $1 extra. We will be making our final prototype run  
next week and expect to go to production and have boards available  
before the end of January.

A picture of the a k107 hacked with the new connector with a small  
Hantronic display is here. The production board won't have all the  
holes for the other connectors and will have mounting holes for a  
small Hantronic display as well as for mounting the k107
