Peter, Why can't the boost be driven off of an IO pin? Is there a current problem? Vbat -----|>-------|>-------- Vboosted | | = = | | ---------- _ GND Pic io ON 3.3 V to 5 V OFF 0 V I guess the toggling pic IO pin would have to be stopped to limit the Vboosted to 6.5 volts or so. I could use one of the PIC comparators for that. I would then run the output through a 5volt regulator to remove ripple and get a stable voltage for the sensors and PIC. What am I missing?
