The US seems to be as a cusp where about half the population is
against any particular decision the government makes, or any
particular candidate.  Even at the beginning of the Iraq invasion,
there was a very significant percentage who thought it was a bad
idea.  Ditto Afganistan.  Ditto "war on terrorism" in general.
There were people predicting most of the bad things that have
happened since 9/11 starting on about 9/12...

That's pretty questioning.  What did you want; riots?
