Well said. ----- Original Message ----- From: Rich To: "Microcontroller discussion list - Public." Subject: Re: [OT] Physics denies official 9/11 report. It is not only important but necessary to challenge decisions made by our national leaders no matter what the country is. That's what representative government is about. This is especially true where international ramifications are apparent. We are living on a small planet in dangerous times. Blindly following along is just as dangerous as blindly opposing. There needs to be some sober and informed critique. One major problem in America is that the biased and outright false reporting of news in the major media makes it difficult for many people to decide what to support and what to oppose. It is necessary to research and verify everything. I cannot speak to that issue in other countries as a citizen, but I can have an informed view. But does it not seem that the quality of leadership the world over has moved into a slump? When I was in Amsterdam a few years back I thought the reporting was fair in the papers I read. ( I was caught by one news story about a software guy who was eating his victims. I don't remember the details. I think he was in Germany.) I am one of your fans. I think you make a great and positive contribution to the list in many ways. I always enjoy reading your posts. I can say the same about others on the list. This is a great resource and the political discussions are for the most part civil and well managed. -- Search for products and services at: http://search.mail.com -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
