Norman Virus Control, from http://www.norman.com  I have used it for years, and recommend it to friends and clients.  
It's not free, but it has updates for new viruses *very* fast when they appear, and is painless to use.

I've seen nothing but trouble with Norton, including difficult (and sometimes expensive) renewals of service, and slow 
updating when new viruses appear - I wouldn't have it even if it was free!
