It is somewhat puzzling that such ideas as those about the concentration camps can capture the imagination of some intelligent people. No doubt it has much to do with certain aspects of the personality. There is a person on the radio. I believe he is from Texas who preaches all sorts of bizarre conspiracy theories. His name is Alex Jones. He apparently has a following. But nothing he says can be substantiated and much of it is out of context distortions. His history is incorrect and his understanding of political science is nill. While it is laughable in one sense it is saddening in another. Thomas Jefferson advocated public education with the idea that reason would prevail over fallacy for an educated population. He was influenced by the Federalist Papers debate. I am not so sure that education has had an enlightening affect on everyone. Education does not guarantee that intelligent people will not be led astray. Propaganda is extremely powerful. ----- Original Message ----- From: "James Newtons Massmind" To: "'Microcontroller discussion list - Public.'"
