You obviously don't know your physics.
The energy acquired by each floor collapsing (32 ft/s/s => 1/2MV**2)) is mostly conserved and
is transferred nearly instantly to the floor below, accelerating the lower floor much
faster than if the floor had started collapsing on it's own. Hence the quicker than
you expected collapse.
