The sockets are the same. I upgraded my Dell Precision M65 without 
any problems.

If you system has a socketed CPU and the new BIOS can be flashed into 
it, it probably will work.

Check out http://www.notebookforums.com , maybe someone has already 
done an upgrade on the system you have.
