Does anyone know if it's possible to take a Core Duo laptop and
upgrade it using a Core 2 Duo chip? I've seen a few casual references
to this on the net, and I know the laptop in question is available in
both Core Duo and Core 2 Duo configurations from the manufacturer.

Any ideas? I'm having a hard time figuring out if they even use the same socket.
