Isn't this funny... I just returned to the board after a long break and it seems that some things just don't change. It's admirable when intellect and humility are directly related, but sad when the relationship is indirect and wasted -- a very public sign of weakness. Don't be distracted newcomers -- you'll encounter the arrogant 'expert' many times in your career, but through hard work and study you'll find, quickly, that they move from your headlights into the rearview mirror. If you're lucky enough, you'll get a chance to work with 'real' genius someday -- a rare treat... and maybe a little will rub off.
