I gotta say, I don't think consultancy is a particularly good
career move right out of college; as a potential employer, I
don't feel at all warm and fuzzy with the amount of business
and scheduling knowledge/experience a recent engineering degree
is likely to have imbued in a "consultant."  (On the other hand,
as a cut throat nasty sort of person, I might be anxious to take
advantage of such suspected inexperience...  (full-time "consultant"
employment at large companies is a different thing, BTW.)
