Strange, what if you want to exchange one part for another? Have to disconnect all the pins? Why not just select everything you want to drag? That's my preferred method at least. Maybe you can modify the preferences so you can drag the parts around and they maintain their connectivity. If I get time I will hunt around for that "feature".
