Thankz Jinx. I'm thinking an R10 should be OK. On the other hand somebody
recommended a gizmo caled a TOP2005 Universal Programmer as good value. 
'Bout $100 - $150 & can handle AVRs & EEPROMs apparently. Might be worth a look
first?
