I've been following this (and your other thread) but I
do not remember seeing *that* piece of information !

You definitely have to check that the device supports
whatever you are doing at that voltage !

According the the Programming Specification, the
limits are :

VDD level for word operations, program memory :
2.0 - 5.5 V (PIC12F675-ICD)
4.5 - 5.5 V (PIC12F629/675)

VDD level for word operations, data memory :
4.5 - 5.5 V

VDD level for bulk erase/write operations, program
and data memory :
4.5 5.5 V
