Okay, this may NOT be the friendliest documentation. ICD2 comes with a QUICKSHEET. A very big one. It tells the user how to wire the PIC and ICD2 together. The RJ12 connection is used. 5pins are needed. Please LOOK at the quicksheet to determine which line goes where. I used a wire wrap to my PIC 16F873A. No problems. Again have the pic12f675 datasheet in front of you when you plug it in. HAVE the DMM to measure the voltage of the pins. MPLAB has 2 settings for the ICD2 one as a programmer and one as a debugger. For convinence use the programmer first. AND for the first try, power the ICD2 using a 9VDC adapter. Check the polarity when you plug power into the ICD2. Then wire the ICD2 to the PIC. For starters the PIC should be isolated from the current circuit. Use MPLAB to connect to the PIC using the ICD2 as a programmer.*Under the programmer menu*.
