>From Tampa, you should take I-4 (Interstate 4) east towards Orlando, but just before you reach Orlando, take the 528 east towards I-95. Don't get on I-95, but cross it towards the little island where KSC is. Approx 4 hrs. >From Miami, take I-95 north until you get to 528, then it's a few minutes east to KSC. Also approx 4 hrs, during non-traffic times. I-95 crosses many decent-sized cities (Miami thru Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Palm Beach, and more), so plan your trip to NOT be there during morning or afternoon rush hours. As an alternative to the I-95 route from Miami, I would take the Turnpike north up to the Fort-Pierce / Port-St.-Lucie exit, then switch over to I-95 and continue north from there there. (The Turnpike and I-95 are somewhat parallel for most of this distance, but are closest near the this exit, and split up after that). You'll be out of the Miami, Ft-Lauderdale, West Palm Beach traffic by this point, but it'll cost you some $ in tolls on the Turnpike. Haven't done this in some time, so not sure, but I expect maybe $10-$12 ... don't hold me to that. Email me offline ("neil" at the same domain as this email) if you need more details, since I might miss your emails on the piclist. Cheers, -Neil.
