Indeed.
Has to be used fresh or reconditioned before use  or it goes bad and 
loses it's efficacy * :-).

* Half life is around 11 years AFAIR so it can get less than pristine 
quite quickly. H bombs have to have their Tritium reconditioned 
regularly to keep them in shape.
