(ken from Jepardy) > > What is the plot of the movie "The 6th Day"? > Good try, but no, the story (and it was a short story not a movie) I read had a rich guy who cloned himself and then the clone got out and killed the rich guy, taking his place. All is right in the world until someone tells him that the clone was made with a built in lifespan limit. Other suggestions for author were P.K. Dick and Vernor Vinge. So far, googling for either with "clone kills" or related keywords is coming up empty. I don't want to install a news reader just to ask the people on rec.arts.sf.written, is there a web based interface to news groups or some other way of posting that plot description to them? Amazing how much stuff like that can bug me... And on the subject of scrawny blonds (NOT) Salma Hayek has a real winner with "Ugly Betty." If you have a daughter or a wife, you could do worse than find a way to get them to watch it. http://timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyID=519494&category=ARTS&news date=9/24/2006 --- James. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
