Just a suspect:

In boot_main.c BOR was switched off while in 1.21 they switched it on. Could
it be the problem? Also the BORV changed from 21 to 43 which I could not
understand because according to the datasheet it should be 25, 27, 42 or 45
but maybe I am looking at a wrong doc. Anyway, if the clone has a lower Vdd
it could cause a problem I suppose?
