I had suscessfully done that too.

GP5 -- R -- GP1    -- GP5 is output, GP1 is used as comparator minus input.
GP0 -- LED
GP2 -- LED
GP4 -- LED
GP3 -- pull-up to Vdd and connected to a push button

A capacitor is then connected to GP0 and GND.
