If there's some form of pin 1 marking the difference will be visible, but perhaps not obvious. If there are text markings for the DIP, those will move to bNames/bValues as well, and show up as reversed text if those layers are visible. And of course the stuff on the silkscreen will move to the other side as well, so if you are in the habit of looking at bottom/bPlace separately from top/tPlace, it will be pretty obvious (and you probably should be doing this if you are putting components on both sides of the board...)
