Hi there, Is anybody uses Eagle for PCB designing? I would have some questions: I am designing an SMD PCB, and it is a two layer one (both sides of the board). The question is how could I tell Eagle that the SMD pad is on the bottom layer? So far I could not sucseed with that, only the wire that I could place into the othe layer using the change command. Other question is if I use normal components that requires solder pads, how can I tell that the pad is a kind of via? I mean on both side there is a solder pad and the drill is a plated one. The other question is how can I make a via within an SMD pad? Alternatively: if those things could not be done very easy, which PCB design software you suggest for Windows -- if possible as cheap as it can be (do not need six million layer support or few acre board size, just max a normal two layered credit card size thing. But it has to be able to produce standard Gerber and drill files.
