The EasyProg always uses a 16F628A, as far as I know.

Those are the firmware files for the EasyProg.
This is clearly written in the doc file for the easyprog,
"easyprog.txt".

So what ? There is nothing particular about that.

You use the EasyProg to burn a *new* version
of the firmware, and you use some *other*
programmer to burn the *first* version (since you
obviously do not have a working EasyProg in that case...)

Burning the firmware is just as buning any other
hex file.
