OK, first thing - when sending messages to the PICLIST, you need to remember the subject tag - that's the "[EE]:", "[OT]:", or "[PIC]:" text at the beginning of the subject line. If you don't tag your messages, most subscribers won't see them. > My problem is the oscillation, I and no 20Mhz > oscillation. Yes, the PIC16F648 needs programming with the Easyprog firmware otherwise the Easyprog is no more useful than a paperweight. > 2- Is oscillation from that Pic necessesary to burn a > chip ? What you need is another programmer to program the PIC16F648 in the Easyprog. You could build a 'JDM' programmer (see http://jdm.homepage.dk/), use that and IC-PROG (search Google for that) to program the F648 with the Easyprog firmware, then put the F648 in your Easyprog. Alternatively, you could tell us roughly where you are (city/country) and someone here might be able to program your chip with their programmer, and send it back to you. -- Phil. | (\_/) This is Bunny.
