It seems to only do three things to the system: 1- it creates a FoxitReader.Document class, 2- associates that class with .pdf files and the MIME application/pdf type and 3- adds some configurations to the registry. #1 is the only thing that a typical uninstaller would get rid of that needs meddling with the registry. #2 you can easily revert. (I'm surprised though that Acrobat Reader doesn't seem to provide an option to re-associate itself with PDFs. But probably a repair install does the trick.) #3 is, as far as I can see, not more than what other programs leave behind /after/ you ran the uninstaller. Typically, the uninstaller doesn't remove anything that was created or modified after the installation, so any registry-stored setting that has been altered by a user action is usually left behind and has to be deleted manually if you want to get rid of it. FWIW, Resplendence Registrar http://www.resplendence.com/registrar is quite helpful in dealing with the registry. They have a free light version.
