The fuel shortage in the US in the 70's showed that availability was more important than price. The answer to the energy issues may individually be conservation but the general solution is renewable energy probably from several sources preferably simple renewable energy. Wind, Solar, Bioengineered plants, space mirrors or Albus's Lilly pads. This is an engineering problem that can be solved. w..
