Well for the first part there's this one:  http://www.amqrp.org/elmer160/lessons/E160L16.pdf  which is Lesson 16 of John McDonough's "Elmer" Course.

Not sure where you'd find anything about linking with C - probably in the C18 documentation (I'm not a C person!)
