is there a simple way to send a magic packet from a PIC to a mac
address?

i need to wake up a server on pressing a remote push-button.
is there a simple way generate a magic packet (without requiring for a
pc to do so)?
i think about using a pic to maybe directly generating a magic packet,
or to control a network card to generate a magic packet.

anybody done something like that?
