However if this is a one off or for testing, it shouldn't be that hard to solder or glue a USB connector to a QuickProto-01 with a 18F2550 and connect the data lines to RC4 and RC5. You would also have to connect the ground but not connect the power line. Long term I'm thinking of a QuickProto for USB. The generic firmware, Windows driver, and host test program would be available so that you can start out with a tested bi-directional stream of bytes between host software and the PIC application firmware. Anyone can use the software for free for non-commercial use. There would be a one-time license per VID/PID combination if you want to sell or otherwise distribute your USB device. Don't hold your breath though, I'm still dealing with getting the USBProg PIC programmer thru production. ****************************************************************** Embed Inc, Littleton Massachusetts, (978) 742-9014. #1 PIC consultant in 2004 program year. http://www.embedinc.com/products -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
