If you can get your hands on EDTA (ehtylene-diamine tetra-acetic acid) it should work better. Stains on hard surfaces, e.g. kitchen counter-top, are hard to remove using this stuff, MagicEraser (I think it is sold as Mr. Magic in Walmart) works great.
