It could be very simple to work out, but if it was you'd think that many more people would do it well. There are a number of cheap flashes available that fit the cameras but they don't provide the auto features that the Minolta flashes do. Your setup is the sort of thing I had in mind - you will find that the flash will only work on "manual" - the camera will not provide advanced ADI or TTL metering facilities. While you can get it to flash and can set aperture manually to suit it's far from ideal.
